Company Profile

Lokya Technologies Private Ltd. is a start-up company with a focus to serve our customers in the IT services space. Lokya got incorporated on July 9th, 2009 in Kottayam, a city situated near the back waters of Kerala. We have planned our development centers globally to address our customer’s challenges.

The origin of our name Lokya is based on the ancient dialect of Sanskrit. Lokya in a wider perspective refers to the world, the global, and the universe. Lokya is by design a global IT services provider.

Our logo is expressive of the mother earth with it hues and vibrant colors of Blue and Green. The color Green symbolizes our sensitivity for our Green Planet, our vision of Growth and our Youthful Energy. The Green color communicates our passion towards Green IT initiatives for an ecological sustainability. The color Blue symbolizes the depth of the Seas, the vastness of the Skies. The depth and breadth of technology and the Transparency of our working, symbolized by Blue represents the culture of Lokya.

Management Profile

Anil Kumar Raghavan Pillai

Anil, the founder and Managing Director of Lokya Technologies,  has an overall 23 years of industry experience.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, India. Anil did his Master’s degree in Engineering from Defense Institute of Advanced Studies, Pune, India sponsored by Defense Research and Development Organization. He also has an e-PGDBM from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, India sponsored by Wipro.

Anil served Defense Research and Development Organization as a Scientist in 1986 as part of the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program under the leadership of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam for 11 plus years.

There after he, joined Wipro Technologies in 1997. At Wipro,  he has managed accounts and programs of Fortune 500 global customers. Anil has been a General Manager at Wipro while he decided to found Lokya, an IT services company.

With depth and breadth of industry experience, Anil has a dream to make Lokya an innovative global company nurturing passion, creativity and excellence for serving its customers, people, and society.

Advisory Council

Dr. D.S Rane

Dr D S Rane holds BE degree from Bombay University (1957) and MS (1959) and PhD (1962) in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University with a specialization in Sampled Data Control Systems.. He was also a faculty member at Michigan State University. Later he was Assistant Professor and Associate Professor and also held the coveted position of Director of the computer Centre at Pennsylvania Military College during 1962-71 (except for a year in1966-67 when he was Head of Systems Engineering Division at the Space Science and Technology Centre, ISRO). Dr Rane rejoined ISRO in 1971 and has held the positions of Head Systems Engineering Division, Head Computer Division and the Director of the Computer and Information Group at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum until 1995.

Dr Rane has been associated with the area of IT right from the inception of modern day computers and has years of teaching and R&D experience with him. He is also a consultant in the area of IT for various companies and organizations. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, CSI, Tau Beta Pi (The Engineering Honor Society of USA) and a Fellow of Institute of Engineers (India).

Among many honors and awards, Dr Rane is a recipient of the Third Millennium award from IEEE, FIE Foundation award (in 1994) for outstanding contributions in Science and Technology and was honored as ‘Eminent Computer Engineer’ by Institution of Engineers (India).

Prof Sreekumar Ancheri

Sreekumar Ancheri is Professor and Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Goa University, Goa, India. He is also Academic Advisor to DC School of Management and Technology, Kerala, India and Gyan Ganga Group of Institutions, Bhopal, India.

Prof Sreekumar, Fellow (Doctorate) in Management (1987) from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (1970) from College of Engineering Trivandrum, University of Kerala, Kerala, India and a Masters degree in Business Administration (1975) from Cochin University of Science And Technology, Kerala, India, and a Certificate in Teaching Methods (1979), University College of Dublin, Republic of Ireland.

Prof Sreekumar has over 32 years of experience as a management educationist teaching fresh students, practicing managers to management faculty. He was a member of the Executive Council as well as other Academic bodies of Goa University. He has collaborated with many international universities in Germany and Portugal for research and teaching. He has undertaken many consulting and research projects in his career. He has published many articles and papers in national and international forums.

His research interests in Strategy and consumer research encompass sectors viz. Tourism, Education, NGOs and Social Movements. Other areas of interests include E-Learning, use of Multimedia in education, Humanities and culture studies in Business, Strategic Management, Economics of Strategy, Quantitative Methods, Research Methods, and Marketing Research.

Prakas Nair

Prakas Nair is founder and President of Synapse Information Systems, Inc.

Synapse Information Systems, Inc. is a growing software solutions provider with considerable man-years of experience, based and head quartered in the Silicon Valley. Synapse Information Systems, Inc. was founded to solve mid-tier problems where IT managers face a constant challenge for technology upgrades, application rollouts and business problems which require resources beyond their own.

Prakas Nair has over 23 years of IT experience. He began his career with National Informatics Center, India and is a Certified SAP Technical Consultant with over 14 years experience in SAP.

Prakas holds a B.Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Kerala (1983) and an M. Tech in Computer Science from Cochin University (1985) and an MS in MIS from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, U.K.

Prakas has been involved in the set-up of Start-up Company’s since the late 1980’s.

Sita Devulapalli

Sita holds a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (B-Tech) Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Osmania University, India , Masters Degree in Engineering from Pune University with specialization in Guidance and Control and Masters in Business Administration from ICFAI University.

Sita has more than twenty three years of experience in the IT industry handling various leadership roles.

Sita began her career as a Scientist in DRDO and has been instrumental in setting up Image and Signal Processing labs at Institute of Armament Technology (Defence Institute of Advanced Technology) , Pune, India prior to joining Intergraph.

At Intergrah, she has been leading Spatial Products development division in India, managing development of Company’s flagship products in Geographical Information Systems with 60 plus team members and multiple products across various stages of PDLC with varying technologies.

Currently, Sita is the Head of Operations at iMotions, India – established and stabilized India operations for Denmark based iMotions Company instituting stable product life cycle methodology for desktop and web based products of the company utilizing .NET environment.

Sita has published papers in the field of Image processing in International (SPIE, Orlando, USA) and National (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India) Conferences.

Prasanth Gopalakrishnan

Prasanth Gopalakrishnan is CEO of Kalkitech, a technology company which he founded in 1998 along with Sushil Cherian and other batch mates from National Institute of Technology (NITC), erstwhile Regional Engineering College (REC), Calicut, India & Colorado State University, USA.

Kalkitech is a technology company making products and delivering services in the areas of communication and optimization. Prior to starting Kalkitech, Prasanth worked with BOSCH in Bangalore, India.

Prasanth holds an under-graduate (B-Tech) degree in Electronic and Communications from Regional Engineering College, Calicut, India and MS in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University, USA, with specialization in high speed communications.

He is an active contributor to standardization efforts in power system communications and writes and speaks on the subject.
