Abhinaya Muralidharan, the graphic designer speaks on the Logo

Mon, 04 Jan 2010

Abhinaya Muralidharan is a graphic designer, a final year student of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. She has designed the logo for Lokya Technologies. She speaks about the Logo.

"Lokya Technologies aims to provide IT services to customers across the globe. The company needed a logo that showcased its ideals of being open and frank, of performance leading to growth as well as of being a company that encouraged creativity. I have designed this logo keeping these attributes in mind and also the name itself, "Lokya", meaning 'the world' in Sanskrit. The form of the logo has multiple layers of interpretation. On one hand it symbolizes the earth in its entirety, encompassed by the two dynamic elements. Also, it takes the form of a diya's flame, signifying enlightenment of the mind. The colours used are green and blue, Blue depicting the earth as well as transparency, while Green talks about growth and prosperity. Overall the logo inclusive of the form, colors and font used, has been designed so as to depict what the company is all about. At Lokya, you will indeed, "Experience Innovation"!
